The CETA Experience -
for Adults Joining A Tour

Our Service

A fantastic tour abroad is all about good planning. We’re much more than simply tour guides. We’re right here with you every step of the way. If you have questions, ask us. We’re happy to help. But we also listen. We provide information and assistance to help you and prepare for your upcoming tour. If you have any questions, we are just a phone call away and are happy to talk to you about your tour.

Joining a Tour

  • Please go to Find a Tour to check out our available tours.
  • If you see a tour you are interested in joining, contact us and we will send you a brochure and application for the tour(s) in which you are interested.
  • Upon receipt of your application, you will receive an Acknowledgement of Deposit with information about optional trip cancellation/interruption and temporary medical insurance, which can be purchased through CETA Tours.

Tour Preparation

CETA Tours does absolutely everything we can to help ensure you have a fantastic trip. We do this by giving you information to help you along the way.

Traveler’s Handbook
With the invoice for the intermediate payment, CETA mails a copy of our Traveler’s Handbook.  This handbook is intended to serve as a guide and includes the following information:

  • What to pack

  • What to expect at the hotels

  • What to expect in a restaurant

  • What to expect on a typical day on tour

  • Websites of the cities and countries visited

  • Information about cultural differences

  • Information about getting money abroad

  • Passport application information, including information about the cost of a passport, the necessary steps and required documentation to get one.

  • Information about immunization requirements and general health precautions.

Pre-departure Materials

The following materials are mailed to you prior to departure:

Flight schedule
Along with your flight times and numbers, your flight schedule also has information about where to check in and phone numbers/website for your airline.

Airline luggage requirements
Printed on the reverse of the flight schedule, this document will give you the carry-on size and checked baggage size requirements specific to the airline your group will be flying.

Accommodations List
This list has the names, addresses, phone and fax numbers of all of the places your group is staying. This copy should be left at home. You will receive another accommodations list at the airport.

On Departure Day

A CETA Tours representative or your tour guide will have the following items for you at the airport:

Luggage tags
You will receive two luggage tags (with your name and address pre-printed on both) – one for your carry-on bag and one for your checked suitcase.

Passport Accommodations List
A passport-sized accommodations list will be provided to tape into your passport. This way, you have a list of where you’re staying with you at all times.

While on Tour

  • An experienced tour leader will manage your trip.
  • CETA Tours provides emergency contact numbers to tour leaders so that they can reach a CETA staff member 24 hours/day. If you call CETA Tours after business hours, there is always an after-hours phone number provided for emergencies.
